Jason Derulo, the accomplished singer known for Trumpets, recently released a book titled Sing Your Name Out Loud: 15 Rules for Living Your Dream. 

The book delves into his journey to success, highlighting both the highs and lows, as well as the secrets to his achievements. Throughout the book, Derulo reflects on the determination that fueled his rise to stardom and the sacrifices he made along the way.

In an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE about his book, the singer-songwriter shares insights into his current views on dating, more than ten years after his debut single “Whatcha Say” topped the charts. “Dating is definitely not a priority for me,” Derulo discloses.

“In those places I just let life happen and I’m not necessarily looking for anything at all. So it’s my eye on the ball right now, honestly,” he explains.

Reflecting on his intense dedication to his career, Derulo expresses contentment and asserts that he has no regrets about the choices he has made. “I have held onto the relationships that don’t waiver. Some people can come in and out of your lives and some people are there for the long haul, no matter what. And my family is there for the long haul,” he affirms.

In Derulo’s case, he emphasizes that he does “everything” with his brother and cousins.
