Elisha Cuthbert recently got candid and reminisced about the intense experience of filming 24.

For those unaware, Cuthbert portrayed Kim Bauer in the longest-running American espionage or counterterrorism-themed television drama, which surpassed both Britain’s The Avengers and Mission: Impossible.

Speaking to PEOPLE magazine to promote her new show, Every Year After, the 43-year-old Canadian actress opened up about the challenges she faced on the set of 24, as she chatted about the Fox thriller’s forthcoming 25th anniversary.

Cuthbert shared, “It’s hard to imagine, really, the scope of it. It was a whirlwind, too. I mean, the success of it all was overwhelming and thrilling and exciting.”

“I have great memories of that time, but also, it was really intense too. We were working so much that the one-hour format… especially with all the action and all the intense night shoots, I mean, it was not an easy show to film,” The Girl Next Door star stated.

She went on to mention that the whole cast did “the best we could,” adding, “It was a well-oiled machine, but it still was a grueling schedule.”

Notably, despite calling the experience “groundbreaking” and “amazing,” Cuthbert doesn’t “know if I’d have the energy to partake in that again.”

“So it was special to be a part of,” the House of Wax actress admitted.

In addition to Elisha Cuthbert, 24, which ran for nine seasons from November 2001 to May 2010, had stars such as Kiefer Sutherland, Sarah Clarke, Anil Kapoor, Carlos Bernard, Mary Lynn Rajskub, and many others.

It is pertinent to mention that Every Year After, based on the book Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, was released on Amazon Prime Video on June 10, 2026.
