Lori Alan recently admitted that she was absolutely clueless about when she gave her seal of approval for Toy Story.

For those unaware, the 59-year-old American actress first lent her voice to Bonnie’s mom in Toy Story 3, which came out in 2010. The film has a star-studded cast, including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Lee Unkrich, Ned Beatty, Michael Keaton, Joan Cusack, and others.

While celebrating the premiere of Toy Story 5, Alan conversed with PEOPLE magazine about her remarkable journey in the fans’ favourite animated adventure comedy-drama film.

She said, “The toys get donated to the daycare center and Laurie Metcalf, who is one of my idols, played Andy’s Mom.”

“That last scene when I’m saying, ‘I’m Bonnie’s mom… ‘Bonnie, Bonnie,’ that’s a lot of what I said in Toy Story 3. And then that scene at the end is so beautiful, and we think it’s going to end there, and the toys have found a new home, but it’ll never be the same,” the Fantastic Four star quipped.

Alan went on to mention that Pixar Animation Studios has “brilliant” writers who are skilled at keeping the story alive.

She quipped, “All the different writers and directors just love this never-ending story, and how toys, tech, love, life, connection and family all come together.”

It is pertinent to mention that Toy Story 5, released in theaters on June 19, 2026, has a top-notch cast, including Hanks, Greta Lee, Keanu Reeves, Allen, Ernie Hudson, Wallace Shawn, Annie Potts, and others. Watch the trailer here.
